SA teams can still make play-offs in PRC

The Bulls, Lions and the Stormers can still play for a place in the quarter-finals of the United Rugby Championship (WRC).

The Bulls face Benetton at home on Saturday, while the Stormers travel to Ireland for their clash against Connacht.

Jake White’s team are the favorites to win the game. This means that the Pretorians can play a quarter-final and semi-final match on their home ground.

The Bulls are the top attacking team in the PRC with 557 points compared to Benetton’s 345 points.

A big task awaits the Lions, tenth in the HRC standings, when the team takes on the top seeded Glasgow Warriors at Emirates Airline Park on Saturday.

The Lions achieved a bonus point victory of 34 – 13 over Cardiff last weekend.

The Stormers faced Connacht in the semi-final last year. The Capetians have a lot of confidence after they overcame the Dragons in Newport with 44-21. This is the Stormers’ first visit to the Dexcom Stadium in Galway since 2022. The hosts lost by two points to Connacht.

At Kingspark in Durban, the Sharks and Cardiff will face each other. Neither team can improve on their place in the standings. Both teams have 25 points.
