Second tearjerker documentary about Bok victory on the road

South Africans will soon get a glimpse behind the scenes of the Springboks’ historic victory at the 2023 World Rugby Cup.

SuperSport announced on X (formerly Twitter) on Wednesday that a sequel to the powerful documentary, Chasing the Sunexpected in 2024.

Like the first version, SuperSport’s camera crew has the Springboks in it Chasing the Sun 2 followed on their journey to lift the Webb Ellis trophy.

RNews reported earlier that the first installment of Chasing the Sun consisted of six action-packed episodes, lifting the veil a little more on Rassie Erasmus’ successful World Cup campaign.

Viewers heard first-hand how the Springbok team had to tackle not only opponents, but also difficult topics such as loss, politics and professional setbacks in their 2019 journey to World Cup glory.

Fans can once again look forward to exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and tear-jerking moments from the men in green and gold.

With its four titles, South Africa is the best rugby team in World Cup history. In addition to their latest success story, the Springboks also held up the Webb Ellis trophy in 1995, 2007 and 2019.
