The actress Simoné Pretorius and her husband, Andries, became the parents of a baby boy on Tuesday.

Simoné announced the arrival of her second child in a post on Instagram and shared numerous snapshots of his birth.

“I just want to say that we have Jamie here and he is perfect!” write the Hotel-actress.

Little James Andries Pretorius was born on Tuesday at 21:40 and weighs a hefty 4 kg.

Pretorius gained fame with her role as Nadia in the SABC 2 soap opera 7th Avenue and was seen as the marriage-shy Irma Humpel in the blockbuster film For the birds. She also spent weeknights on the box as sister René Spies in the kykNET soap opera Domestics.

She and Andries, a property developer and businessman, were married in February 2019 at the Lunikhy game farm outside Bela-Bela.

Pretorius announced in July last year that she was pregnant with their second child.
