With a place in the play-offs at stake, every remaining matchup in the group stage of the United Rugby Championship is of key importance for the Stormers.

The Capetians have chosen a strong team for Friday night’s duel against the Dragons at Rodney Parade.

In addition to the skills of Dan du Plessis, Evan Roos and Wandisile Simelane, the Stormers can also count on returning stars such as Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu, Angelo Davids and Sti Sithole to pull the wagon through.

Davids, along with Suleiman Hartzenberg, will provide the speed in the forward team, while Sithole will drop into the scrums along with Joseph Dweba and Frans Malherbe.

The versatile Feinberg-Mngomezulu is included on the substitutes’ bench.

“With the playoffs around the corner, we can’t afford to make any mistakes. We have prepared well and the players are determined to be at their best on Friday,” said John Dobson, the Stormers’ director of rugby.

The Cape Town are currently fifth in the official standings with 45 points after 15 games.
