This is what load shedding looks like for the week

Eskom said on Wednesday that load shedding will remain suspended from midnight this evening until Thursday at 16:00.

After that phase 3 load shedding will be introduced from 16:00 to midnight. This pattern will repeat until further notice.

The power supplier said over the weekend that this was thanks to a sustained improvement in available generation capacity.

“We thank those South Africans who do heed the call to use electricity sparingly and efficiently, especially to switch off geysers from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., because this helps to relieve the pressure on the power system and to contributing to lower phases of load shedding,” Eskom added.
