The North-West Police say an arrest is expected to be made soon after a video of a fight in a parking lot in Klerksdorp has been spread like wildfire on social media in the past few days.
The video shows two men lying motionless in a pool of blood in the parking lot of a shopping center in Doringkruin in the city. It was not clear from the video what exactly led to the incident.
Col. Adele Myburgh, police spokesperson in the North West, says the Klerksdorp police are currently investigating a case of attempted murder after the incident which was reported on Sunday around 13:25.
“According to information, there was someone who assaulted two men. The one victim is 32 years old and was admitted to a local hospital with serious brain damage,” says Myburgh.
The other victim filed a case with the Klerksdorp police a short time ago, says Myburgh.
“I can also confirm that the suspect is known to the police and that an arrest will follow shortly.”
