Who will Brendan ‘tour the floor’ with?

Henry

He has a successful singing career, bulging muscles and a knee-numbing smile, but one thing singer Brendan Peyper apparently hasn’t found yet is that one big love.

That’s why he is the youngest single to take part in the popular kykNET mate search series, On my claim!.

The “Stop, wait, stay still” singer says he agreed to be part of the program because you never know what life has in store for you. “I am very open-minded about life and do not want to close doors that open for me.”

Brendan, who celebrates his 27th birthday on 7 August, was born in Bloemfontein and started playing the guitar at the age of five.

His debut album, Stop, wait, stay still a bit, was released in 2015 and a string of hits followed. The music videos of his songs “You make it look easy” and “Stop, wait, wait a little longer” have each been viewed more than 6.8 million times on YouTube and his latest hit, “Toer om die vloer”, has reached eight months had more than 3.4 million hits on YouTube.

According to Brendan, he does not necessarily have a definitive picture of what his ideal woman should look like. “Sometimes it’s the person you least expect that knocks you off your feet the hardest. All I can say is that I like a woman who is athletically built and maintains a healthy lifestyle.”

The third season of On my demand! will be filmed in September and October this year at some of Brendan’s favorite locations and the executive producer, Gideon Eksteen of Wakanda Media, says viewers can definitely expect a few twists and turns.

The format of previous seasons, where actors Francois Jacobs and Neels van Jaarsveld also looked for love, is not changed too much.

“When it comes to matters of the heart, things can be unpredictable,” says Gideon.

“The best thing for us as a production team is to let the process take its natural course and capture the best for the viewer.”

Gideon says the team hopes Brendan will find love. “He participates with an open head and a big heart and is ready for any event.”
