Willie ready for Bulls debut

Willie le Roux will make his Bulls debut later today when the Pretorians take on Connacht at Loftus Versfeld.

The 34-year-old World Cup winner will wear the number fifteen jersey and he forms the back triangle with Sebastian de Klerk and Sergeal Petersen.

According to the opportunistic Le Roux, he will not be afraid to try to do things on the Loftus playing field.

“I am not a player who is going to hide in my shell simply because I am afraid of what people are going to say after a match. I signed a contract with the Bulls, I enjoy their support and I’m going to try to make my mark here,” said Le Roux.

“If I see an opportunity on the field, I’m going to grab it with both hands. If it works out, everyone is probably going to love me and say the Bulls did a great job. But if things don’t go according to plan, they’ll probably grumble that I’m too old.”

His new teammates say that Le Roux set the pace on the training ground in the run-up to the Connacht game.

“I am here to do my job to the best of my ability. Hopefully I can make people proud with my game.”

The match starts at 17:00 and the action is broadcast live on SuperSport.
