The second T20 cricket match between the women’s teams from South Africa and New Zealand was also rained out on Sunday at Buffalo Park in East London.
After Friday’s first match could not take place due to drenching rain, New Zealand at least batted on Sunday.
The Kiwis could only manage 111/9 in 20 overs with Maddy Green (45*) the only batsman who could resist.
The Proteas’ best bowler was spin bowler Chloe Tryon (4/15).
It started raining again just after New Zealand’s innings and with an outfield that was badly soaked after Friday and Saturday’s rain, a halt was called.
The third of five T20 matches will also be played in East London on Tuesday with the final two matches coming Saturday and Sunday in Benoni.
