‘X-Men’ actor, 42, loses cancer battle

Condolences from all over the world are pouring in for the Mexican actor, Adan Canto, who lost his battle with cancer on Monday at the age of 42.

Canto was known for his role as Sunspot in the movie, X-Men: Days of Future Pastas well as his roles in television series such as Designated Survivor and Narcos.

According to Canto’s publicity manager, Jennifer Allen, he suffered from appendicitis.

“Adan had a depth to his spirit that few really knew. Those who did see it were forever changed. He will be missed,” Allen said in a statement.

Many colleagues and friends in the entertainment industry paid moving tributes to Canto on social media.

“I don’t have the words yet… but my dear, good friend Adan just got his wings. Forever, forever in my heart,” actress Halle Berry wrote. She has opposite Canto in X-Men: Days of Future Past played

Enter Canto’s co-player Designated Survivorthe actor Kiefer Sutherland, also paid tribute to Canto on Instagram.

“As an actor, his desire to do well and always do better was truly impressive and he will be missed. I am heartbroken for his wife, Steph, and their two young children. Adan, may you rest in peace.”

Canto leaves behind his wife, Stephanie Ann, and two young daughters, aged four and two respectively.
