ActionSA’s Funzi Ngobeni, Gauteng premier candidate, and Hluphi Gafane, youth forum chairman, have been found safe after they were reportedly kidnapped and detained.
According to Michael Beaumont, ActionSA’s national chairman, the two were kidnapped around 19:00 in Olievenhoutbosch near Centurion and found around 22:45 in the Benoni area.
“ActionSA is delighted that Ngobeni and Gafane are both unharmed, but they are undoubtedly shaken by the incident.”
ActionSA expressed its deep gratitude to the police service.
“It is requested that Ngobeni and Gafane be given the space to recover from their ordeal together with their families before more concrete information about these events can be provided.”
