Elrigh Louw is in the Blue Bulls’ starting team for Saturday’s Currie Cup semi-final against the Cheetahs in Bloemfontein.

The Sprinbok loose forward was sent off with a red card against the Free Staters last week, but a disciplinary hearing has since revoked this decision.

“Elrigh Louw’s red card, which was issued in the 14th round of the Currie Cup campaign, has been revoked. The card has now been replaced with a yellow card after a disciplinary hearing,” the Bulls said in an official statement.

The 23-year-old player will now together with Marcell Coetzee and Nizaam Carr form the Pretorians’ loose trio for the important knockout showdown against the Cheetahs.

Keagan Johannes wears the no. 9 jersey in Embrose Papier’s (hamstring injury) absence and he will be Chris Smith’s liaison partner.

Johan Goosen – who used to be definitely on the Boks’ free-kick radar – starts at full-back, while Cornal Hendricks, Stedman Gans, Harold Vorster and David Kriel provide additional hitting power in the backline.

The match starts at 15:00 on Saturday and the action will be broadcast live on SuperSport.
