British actor Ian Gelder, who is best known for his role as Kevan Lannister in the fantasy series Game of Thronesdied on Monday at the age of 74 after a short battle with bile duct cancer.
Gelder’s husband, Ben Daniels, confirmed this news on Instagram.
“Ian was diagnosed with cancer in December and yesterday he died at 13:07. I stopped all work to be his caregiver, but neither of us had any idea that it would all happen so quickly,” said Daniels, also an actor, in the post along with the photo of the couple during Christmas. shared.

“He was a wonderful, wonderful actor and everyone who worked with him was touched by his heart and light. I honestly don’t know what I would do without him by my side,” Daniels added.
“He dealt with his terrible illness with such bravery, without self-pity.”
The British actor’s career spanned five decades and included roles in series such as Torchwood, His Dark Materials and Doctor Who.
He would have celebrated his 75th birthday next month.
