Muthusamy makes wickets burst again

Henry

A few days after Senuran Muthusamy boasted a match bowling analysis of 12/175 in the first multi-day tour match against Sri Lanka A, the South African spinner once again fell among the batsmen.

The Durban native now took 6/101 in Sri Lanka A’s first innings and saw to it that the islanders were bowled out for 290 runs.

It’s important to note that he doesn’t just get rid of tail-end batters; he now also ran amok among the top order to send Nishan Madushka, Lasith Croospulle and Minod Bhanuka back to the dressing room, among others.

He has now taken a total of 18 wickets in three innings at an impressive average of 15.3.

Muthusamy made his international debut in 2019 during the Proteas’ disastrous tour to India, but he admittedly took the wicket of Virat Kohli in Visakhapatnam.

Despite his bowling heroics, the South Africans still got the wind from the front with the willow batten and captain Tony de Zorzi was caught leg-before-wicket with the first delivery of their innings.

  • Scorecard Summary:
