The pressure group Action Society was asked by the family of the missing German tourist Nick Frischke (22) to conduct a deeper investigation into this case and to take on an oversight role.

“We will do everything in our power to offer assistance in the matter. The family lives in another country and does not often get new information about the case. It worries them,” said Kaylynn Palm, spokeswoman for Action Society.

“We will keep a close eye on the case, monitor it and use our resources.”

RNews previously reported that Frischke has been missing since February 15. Several searches by members of law enforcement agencies, volunteers and members of the community have yet to turn up any sign of Frischke.

Five men have been arrested since his disappearance on February 15 after some of his personal belongings were found in their possession. The men have appeared in the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court several times.

They admitted they robbed Frischke while he was walking, but never said a word about where he might be.

Igshaan Fisher, Jason Abrahams, Vanroy Petersen, Carlo Guenantin and Melvin Guenantin are charged with aggravated robbery and will appear in court again on June 22.
