BE ADVISED: Outeniqua Pass completely closed to traffic
Update: The Outeniqua Pass has reopened for traffic.
George Emergency Services on Friday morning confirmed that the Outeniqua Pass is now completely closed to traffic following an accident in which an Interlink Truck overturned.
"The pass will be closed for an undetermined period while the diesel spillage and accident is cleared.
"All light vehicles are being diverted over the Montagu Pass and heavy vehicles can only travel via the Robertson Pass. Motorists are advised to exercise caution.
"Further details will be provided as they are made available," the George Municipality saidd in a statement.
