Msobomvu police investigating after woman's body found with bullet wound

Msobomvu police are investigating a murder case following the discovery of the body of a 28-year-old woman.

"It is alleged that the body of the deceased was seen by a community member on Monday, at about 04:00, at Cuba Township, Butterworth," said police spokesperson, Capt Jackson Manatha.

"The deceased  suffered a bullet wound on her upper body. She was last seen with her friends on Friday, 16 December 2018 at about 22:00 around Cuba Township, Butterworth."

He said that the motive behind her murder is not known.

Msobomvu police detectives on the heels of the woman's killers

"Anyone who has information about this murder is kindly requested to contact Msobomvu police at 047 4920 180 or Crime Stop 08600 10111."

Butterworth SAPS Cluster Commander, Brigadier Ngangema Xakavu, has condemned the brutal murder of a defenceless woman and he vowed that Msobomvu police detectives will work around the clock to trace the suspect/s.

"The identity of the deceased is still being withheld until her relatives are officially informed about her murder."
