PAC Eastern Cape dismayed by Gugu Ncube victimization

Social media has been buzzing following a video of a semi-nude rape victim; Gugu Ncube who staged a protest at the Union Buildings in demand to see the president of South Africa, Cyril Ramaphosa.

“President Ramaphosa, the police are used to intimidate, threaten and harass me. I was raped, sexually harassed by Shibambu Mhlava at Unisa. I spoke out, they lied that I had resigned. #produce my resignation! CCMA commissioner took a bribe from the perpetrator,” Gugu wrote.

On social media, Gugu is praised for bravery and standing up for other victims of rape.

However, her 'bravery' landed her in a South African Police Van, as another video shows her being dragged to a police van and arrested for 'public nudity'.

On Thursday the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania released a statement and called on the law to take its course on the alleged perpetrator.

HORRIBLE VICTIMIZATION OF MS GUGU NCUBE (WOMEN, THE NOBLE DAUGHTERS OF AFRIKA, CAN NO LONGER BREATH)

"The PAC in the Eastern Cape is heatedly dismayed by the now surfaced reports of victimization against the Noble Daughter of the Soil, Ms Gugu Ncube whom in her we see ourselves as Africans.

"We are even more disturbed by the fact that all these acts of victimization took place in public institutions, namely the University of South Africa and Union Buildings which are expected to be in the forefront in the war against Women Abuse and human degradation in general.

"We call upon the Council of UNISA to take action against the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Makhanya and all the implicated perpetrators, URGENTLY. Universities are required to lead various socio-economic agendas and vehemently oppose any acts of Sexism, Afrophobia, Exploitation, amongst others. We further demand the Ministry of Higher Education and Training to take a stand and be counted.

"As for the Union Buildings, unfortunately, we do not have confidence in the President of the Republic on matters of this nature as similar acts of Women Victimization have been recently reported to have ensued right under his watch at Luthuli House, unabatedly.

"We, therefore, call upon the Law Enforcement urgencies to get to the bottom of this matter, ensure that justice prevails and teach a lesson to each and every single Women Abuser that Women Abuse has no place in every sphere of society.

"Furthermore, we call upon the Minister of Police, Mr Bheki Cele, to drop the charges against the Noble Daughter of the Soil unconditionally and compensate her for the horrible injustice she has endured. Her protest at the Union Building was nothing but a clear heart-breaking statement that our Mothers, Sisters and Daughters can no longer breathe even in Institutions of Higher Learning, Government, etc. and a manifestation that our Law is not democratising.

"As Africans, we owe it to ourselves to come out in support of our very own Noble Daughter of the Soil, her cry should not be in vain.

"Last but not least, we call upon all Revolutionary Pan Africanists, both men and women to advance with more dedication the cause for Women emancipation."
