Police mum on East London serial killer allegations
Fears that a serial killer might be active in the East London area have sparked up yet again following the discovery of a body in the town’s central business district this morning.
Speaking in a statement, police spokesperson Warrant Officer Hazel Mqala said the body of a homeless man was discovered by a passer-by in Union Street just after 07h00. He had suffered severe injuries to his head although the exact cause remains unconfirmed.
His death brings the number of fatalities to seven with police declining to confirm the serial killer allegations.
