Video: Mr PE UberMANn finalists wheel around The Boardwalk in aid of APD
Fun times were had at The Boardwalk on Thursday all in the name of charity.
Finalists for the Mr Port Elizabeth UberMANn campaign rolled people around the lake of The Boardwalk to raise funds in aid of the Association for the Physically Disabled (APD) of Nelson Mandela Bay.
For a donation of R10, you could enjoy a free ride on a wheelchair by one of the finalists for Mr PE from 10am until 7pm, and see things from the perspective of those, who have to use a wheelchair while helping those in need.
One of the more exciting parts of the day was the wheelchair fencing exhibit, where spectators could learn how to fence in a wheelchair and see how well they fared against the finalists.
To end the successful day, fireworks were on display to celebrate the charity event.
With the funds raised on the day, the Mr Port Elizabeth UberMANn campaign were able to make a donation of 18 wheelchairs to the organisation.
