They deliver to most areas in Port Elizabeth. A delivery fee is charged and ranges from R30 up to R160 for long distance deliveries to Uitenhage.

Paco Taco is open from 10am till 6:30pm, depending on area, as their driver s can’t deliver after 7pm as per law. Payment is made to the driver via cash or card.

Orders can also be placed through Mr Delivery.

The menu at Paco Taco

The menu is loaded with Mexican favourites such as tacos, burritos, quesadillas, jalepeno cheese pockets and nachos, as one would expect. There are also fries and, for the kids, a chicken dipper and chicken nuggets meals.

The tacos come in two forms; soft and hard. The soft tacos are made from flour and the hard taco’s from corn (Gluten Free). The soft tacos are bigger in size to the hard tacos and so when ordering a beef taco, for example, you would get one taco if you order the soft version and two tacos if you order the hard taco.

The regular Paco Taco food can be enhanced by three levels of hot. The first is Mild and only has a “lil tingle”, to quote Paco Taco. Second is Medium or “Now you’re talking” and the third is Hot and comes with a “I want my mommy” citation, but if you’re not ready for the hotness, they have a Regular level as well.

Kevin says, “Although our food is authentic Tex-Mex, we have made sure that we have something for all tastes including having vegetarian options. Our food is also Halaal certified.”

Tuesday is Taco Tuesday and all standard tacos are R30! Thursday is TAKE2, where you get 2 x Happy Fries for only R89!

Personal experience

I love hot food and particularly enjoy Paco Taco’s hard chicken taco with the hot sauce. The hard tacos fit into the palm of your hand and make it easy to bite off each mouthful. They are very, very tasty.

Kevin had warned me that the hot sauce is powerful and, even for a chilli lover like myself, it was eye wateringly hot.

My kids also enjoy the tacos and the nachos but with the regular taste. They usually compliment their meals with a slush puppy.

The staff are polite and efficient and Paco Taco really is fast food as the wait is very short. I enjoy the environmentally friendly packaging and the vibe that Paco Taco projects.
