62 year-old PE doctor arrested for sexually assaulting 36 year-old patient
The SAPS Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) unit in Port Elizabeth arrested a 62 year-old medical practitioner on charges of sexual assault at his practice on Thursday morning.
"It is alleged that during 2015, the suspect sexually assaulted a 36 year-old woman during her visit to his practice in the Rowallan Park area in Port Elizabeth," explained police spokesperson, Capt Sandra Janse Van Rensburg.
"The investigation was finalised and the docket referred to the public prosecutor who instructed the investigating officer to arrest the suspect."
The suspect will appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate court on Monday.
