First-ever MKIGMA gospel awards hailed as a success

The first-ever Mpumakoloni International Gospel  Music Awards (MKIGMA), which was held a last week Saturday at the Feather Market Hall, in Port Elizabeth, was hailed success by organisers.

The organisers said that it could have been an even bigger event had it not rained on the day.

Still, they are grateful and happy that the event went on with an audience of around 500 people.

"We, as  MKIGMA, we  humble  ourselves  to  all  gospel artists  around province  and  beyond  for  making  sure that  this  event take  place  by  driving  and  flying  down to  P.E  with their travelling  cost  and  our Lord  blessed  them  so  much," said Thembinkosi Skosana, speaking for the MKIGMA organisers.

"The MKIGMA has done  this event  with a  zero  budget  as  we  could  not  manage  to  bring Dr.  Derrick  Ndzimande  and  the  crew  of  OneGospel and  Dumisa TV."
