Next-of-kin sought by Despatch detectives after unidentified body found

Detectives from the South African Police Service in Despatch are seeking the assistance of the community in tracing the next-of-kin of an unidentified male, who passed away during December last year. 

"The body of the unidentified male was found by community members on 23 December 2018, at about 06:00, close to a bridge, next to the R75, in the Joe Slovo area, Despatch," said police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart.  

"The unidentified male was wearing a khaki jacket, orange shorts, grey shirt and black shoes and appears to be in his sixties. He has no distinctive marks or tattoos."

She said that anyone, who might be looking for a relative or who might be able to assist with information that can assist to trace his next-of-kin, is requested to contact the investigating officer, Detective Warrant Officer Deon Janse van Rensburg on 041 933 8017 or Crime Stop 08600 10111.
