Help Lady Grey police find family of accident victim

Lady Grey - Detectives in Lady Grey have appealed to the public for assistance in the tracing of the family of a deceased person.

"After an accident that was reported at the station on 26 March 2020 at 02:50, the SAPS went to the scene on the R58 road between Aliwal North and Lady Grey," said police spokesperson, Capt Ursula Roelofse.

"The body of a male person was found lying in the middle of the road. He was severely injured beyond recognition.

"A wallet was found next to the body with a bank card and ID and the name reflected John Bongani Sibiya.

"Investigation at this stage indicated that he could be from Soweto."

She said that anyone who can assist the Lady Grey Detectives or can shed light on what could have transpired to please contact D /Sgt Skwatsha at 071 475 17 64 or 051 6039308.

"Information can also be shared at any nearest Police station or SAPS Crime Stop 08600 10111," Capt Roelofse said.

"All shared information will be treated with strict confidentiality and callers can remain anonymous if they wish to."
